Prudent healthcare requires that urinary 2:16 OH-Estrones be a part of any hormone evaluation. Beyond that, a choice may be made on whether or not invasive tests will be used. Another consideration is the reality that serum tests are usually covered by insurance, while some insurance companies do not reimburse patients for saliva tests.
